Max Haymer

Max Haymer is a Grammy nominated Los Angeles pianist, arranger, and composer. He is the pianist and lead arranger for Jazz vocalist Jane Monheit, with duo and quartet shows from Mumbai and Seoul to Birdland and SFJAZZ, and he played and arranged on her albums The Merriest and Jane Monheit. From 2015 to 2025 he was the touring pianist and music director for Arturo Sandoval, playing the Blue Note in New York, Tokyo, and Beijing, the Newport Jazz Festival, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and he is the pianist on Sandoval's Grammy nominated album Rhythm and Soul and on Sandoval's scores for Clint Eastwood's The Mule and Richard Jewell. He took 2nd prize at the Montreux Jazz Festival Solo Piano Competition, debuted with his trio at Catalina Bar and Grill at 19, and released the live trio album Whirlwind: Live at Sam First to critical acclaim. He studied with Tamir Hendelman through high school and graduated magna cum laude from UC Irvine. Heard on the Rickey Woodard and Allen Mezquida sessions.
