Ryan Shaw is the host, producer, and drummer of Sessions With Shaw. He created the show because he wants the music he loves documented properly: filmed beautifully, recorded honestly, and preserved. Ryan began on piano at age 5, moved to percussion at 8, and got his first drum set at 10. That road led to the USC Thornton School of Music and a Bachelor's in Jazz Studies, with studies under Jeff Hamilton, Peter Erskine, and Roy McCurdy, among others. Today he lives in Los Angeles, recording and touring as a drummer for artists including Michael Bublé, Laufey, Seth MacFarlane, and Jeff Goldblum, and he can be heard on TV and film including the Charlie Brown specials on Apple TV+.
